Memory Funds
A memory fund with the Wichita Community
Foundation is an easy way to remember a loved one in a tangible,
positive way. A memory fund can take several forms.
Contributions can be made to the general fund in the name of the
individual. These gifts will be used to make grants to area
organizations. Gifts in memory of someone also can be directed
to an existing fund to benefit an organization that was of
importance to the individual. Finally, contributions can be
directed to a fund established in the name of the loved one.
Such a fund may be established for a particular purpose or may
be unrestricted and used at the direction of the Foundation. In
all instances, the funds are open to contributions from anyone.
All contributions made through the Foundation are tax
deductible.
Gifts come directly to the Wichita Community
Foundation. The Foundation deposits the gifts as directed by the
family. WCF provides the family with a list of all contributors
for acknowledgment. For additional information on how to
establish a memory fund, contact the Community Foundation staff.
